PERSONAL ASSISTED MOBILITY DEVICE (PAMD)
Outstanding Concept Poster Award
From 2012-2013 I was working with a friend to develop a new personal mobility solution targeting the Delhi metro rail network as a case study.
We developed a whole new product to address the specific needs of the Delhi Metro user market. In the process, we learnt some invaluable lessons and insights which I am keen to implement in my further work.
The concept won the top award in its category at GM-PACE Annual Global forum at Pasadena, California.
The project involved a thorough research methods, innovative design approaches to develop info-graphics, a new product development based on user needs and a final Graphic Poster.

Personal Assisted Mobility Device: The Future of Urban Commute
The PAMD allows users unparalleled freedom in movement. Urban areas often have unbearable last mile connectivity issues, dependence on cabs, parking etc. and movement choked with traffic congestion. This solution sets the urban dwellers free by allowing them a seamless, electric, efficient and personal movement alternative.

One for everyone!
The PAMD seats one person and has enough space to carry their belongings for daily use. It's fun & zipply to ride and is balanced by using powerful gyroscopes.

Vast Needs: One Solution
The PAMD is suitable for diffferent age-groups, socio-economic segments, personalities & requirements.

Features
Thoughtfully designed features to integrate a vast array of the user's needs.

Charging Docks at Metro/Bus Stations
Leave your device in a secure charging dock at a public spot & pick it back when you return.

Travel with your ride
The PAMD can act as a seat in Public Transportation & even charge itself through wireless docks

How it Works?
The System is simple. You commute from your Point A to end destination Point B. There are two bus/metro stations & then there's a last mile distance. Users can use a PAMD to commute the last mile to the Metro System, Use the device inside the train/bus as a seat while it charges automatically. Get off at the station closest to Point B & ride onwards to their destination.

Simple & Efficient
The product design strives for efficiency & simplicity to make sense to even the most carefree users.

Possible PAMD Access Points at a Metro Station
Tentative idea of how movement on a PAMD can occur inside a metro station.

Armrest & Stability Control
Use the Armrest & Stability control to navigate the PAMD & the foot pedals to accelerate & brake.

Fold & Drag
The device can be dragged on it-s wheels by the user as a folded, mini-luggage piece in places where it's not possible to ride.

Foot Controls
The device can be speeded up & stopped using foot pedals. The assembly includes two wheels, a Gyroscope & electric motors powered by a powerful battery & solar panels on the body panels.

Changing the Urban Landscape
This device has the potential to change the urban landscape.

Ride-Carry-Park
Just simply, ride.. carry & park. These are the three steps that define the entire use-case of the PAMD.
